How Do You Invent Shoegaze? Asking AR Kane.

AR Kane, composed of Rudy Tambala and Alex Ayuli, had no equipment--they were just two London punks inspired by The Cocteau Twins. But, by blending dub, feedback, dream pop, house, and free jazz, this duo created something entirely new. They recorded their first album in 1986 after 2.5 weeks as a band and continued to pioneer shoegaze, acid house, and all sorts weirdo dance through the mid 90's.
